Arrows Run Groups June Schedule

June Schedule

It's starting to feel a lot like summer at last, with lots of fabulous sunny running weather in the last month.

We launched our new track night venue at KWS with a great turnout and lots of Arrows coming along for the first time.  In June we have a slightly revised schedule owing to the Spring Bank Holiday falling on a Thursday - please look out for the UPDATED DATES track night email that was sent separately.

MWRRL has got off to a flying start with two races concluded already.  We managed full teams for race 1, but were one short on the ladies on race 2.  Please consider giving it a go - you don't have to be fast, just able to complete 10km at any pace.

Here's our runners at the most recent race at Ware.  Next race is coming up on 1st June at Harlow.  Please check out our Facebook events page for more info, or get in touch with Simon Speirs, Isabel Green or Steve Green.

Dates for the diary

Wednesdays in June, 7:45pm

Mid Week Road Race League

1st June - Race 3 - Harlow

30th June - Race 4 - Royston

A fun series of Mid-Week Road Race League (MWRRL) races with 4 team / individual races. We need 12 men and 8 ladies to score in the league.

You don't have to be fast!  As long as you can run 10km in any time, you're able to join this free mid-week event.  You will need an Arrows vest to participate.

To sign up please contact Simon Speirs (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) or check out our Facebook events page.

Tuesday 14th June, 7:15pm

Arrows Club 5km Handicap, Kit and Cake Night at St George's School

SUMMER COURSE - NICKEY LINE

This is your monthly chance to get together with fellow Arrows, run a timed 5km, and afterwards join us for tea, cake and a chance to buy or order Arrows kit. We will have a selection of samples to look at and you can order via our kit secretary, Rowland Hughes.

Cake bakers and marshal volunteers - please get in touch with Aly Northedge or Simon Speirs if you can help on the night, or check our our Facebook events page.

#JustTurnUp - St George's runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays

If you want to attend any of our regular run groups at St George's, please #JustTurnUp on the night.  No pre-booking is required for our regular runs from St George's.

We will also always adapt any run groups to those that turn up on the night, or if possible form additional groups to suit varied paces.  Nobody will be left behind and we operate a *looping policy if we happen to have a wide pace range in the group.

*That means that faster runners are asked to loop back to keep the group together.
